Extensive studies have been done over the years, a recent one, entitled "Are they Really Ready to Work? Employers Perspectives on the Basic Knowledge and Applied Skills of New Entrants into the 21st Century Workforce." speaks volumes.

The beginning of the Executive Summary reads "The future U.S. workforce is here—and it is woefully ill-prepared for the demands of today’s (and tomorrow’s) workplace. So say employers in a unique study..."

And if big business is afraid of what the future employees skill sets are, just imagine the ramifications for small business. Most small businesses don't have the resources to train or retrain employees. So what is the solution? It's Pre-Employment testing... finding the match between what your business needs and what the employee can provide. But, it's not just new hires... What about the existing workforce? Do you have a cat doing a dog's job? Testing can also determine where individuals "fit" the best. It can also determine supervisory positives and negatives. It might even be able identify and resolve long standing conflicts within the organization.

The botttomline is... this can save a business a great deal of money. By putting people where they are best able to succeed the business succeeds. Remember... Test before you Invest. Then test again!
